The service was great here, the waiter was friendly and fun. The food wasn't too bad at all I feel as if the value is good for the quality of food. The ambiance is nice, right off the water with a good view
Went there 2 nights in a row. First night just drinks and second night drinks that led to dinner. Both nights at the outside tiki bar and Ashley was great each time. Vert attentive and witty! Rum runner was fantastic and the walleye basket was great. Would go back again!
Two thumbs up for Admiral Jack's! Excellent drinks, excellent food, excellent service, excellent view! Located on the Black river near the drawbridge, this location is perfect for boat and people watching. I had the coconut shrimp, which was the best coconut shrimp I've had in recent memory. I ordered it with a basket of fries, which contained A LOT of delicious fries. As a table, we tried the buffalo cauliflower - deelish! Burgers were a hit with the rest of the table.
You couldn't find a more beautiful or scenic marina / restaurant anywhere on Lake Michigan. Located in the quaint city of Safe Haven, MI this establishment defined "The Nautical Life" at its fullest. Sail boats, fishing boats, cruising boats filter in and out of this harbor up close and personal right in front of your table. I have to admit (coming from Marina Del Rey, CA) this was a very enjoyable setting for an old salty-dog like me (minus the salt)! On this late Friday afternoon this place was packed and the boat flotilla passing by us was on full display. We all ordered our respective drinks and we shared a quadruple shrimp cocktail which was perfect for this setting. The staff was super friendly (must be contagious here in Michigan) and the people assembled here were all having a nice "sunset" drinks and hor 'd'oeuvres session!
Pretty good waterside bar with TVs to watch football while watching the sunset! Attentive bartender and good drinks. The food was ok -- pretty standard bar food. The fish and chips was a better fried fish option than the walleye, which was quite fishy. The lobster bisque with crab was a good starter for one of the first cooler nights at the end of summer.
